What did he say about the 1L. ? — I was standing at my door with my arm in a sling ; Mr. Warner came along, and said, ”What is the matter with your arm ? ” I said, ”I run a bit of glass in my hand.” He said, “That is a bad job.” He was standing in the passage talking about it, and as he went out he put his hand in his pocket and gave me 1L. ; nothing more passed.
